We believe storytelling can change and save lives.

Suicide isn’t an easy topic to talk about. But we can’t better understand it, prevent it or truly cope with it if we don’t have these conversations and share these stories. That’s why JED partnered with the amazing storytellers at Lemonada Media on Season 2 of Last Day. Thank you for joining us on this journey and visiting this resource page.

Maybe listening brought up some difficult feelings and you need to reach out for help? The teams at JED and Last Day are big fans of therapy. Do it. Here are some ways to find help online or in your community.

We’ve worked hard with the Last Day team to ensure that this season's storytelling around suicide is as safe as possible. But this is a difficult topic, with stories, viewpoints and realities that aren’t easy to listen to or think about. We can’t address an issue like suicide by tip-toeing around it. Instead of warning who should and shouldn’t listen before each episode, we want to encourage you to press pause if and when you need to. Take some deep breaths, go for a walk around the block, watch some cute puppy videos.

We’ve put together these quick video exercises to help. Steph and the Last Day team will be waiting for you when you’re ready to press play again.

Remember, speaking up about our emotional struggles is a sign of strength. Don’t put it off until things get worse. If you or a friend need to talk to someone immediately, you can text START to 741-741 or call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) for a confidential conversation 24/7.
